Welcome to the website of Joseph Mario Cicchinelli and the 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion.

This website is dedicated to one of the finest World War 2 paratroopers in the world:
Joseph “Joe” Cicchinelli.

Joe fought in Panama, France and the Battle of the Bulge. The last months of world war II he spent as a prisoner of war.
He visited Europe many times, where he made many, many friends. Until today Joe is remembered as a humble man, with a great attitude and love for his family and friends.

This website contains his personal remembrances and stories. We also added video’s, extra pictures and other stuff.
The website is also dedicated to all the brave men of the heroic and outstanding 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion.
